- Since 2004 Urology specialist, consultant at UKE, and leader of the prostate carcinoma special consultation clinic
- Since 2004 Training in use of the da Vinci surgical system for robotic-assisted surgery, with instruction in the USA, Belgium and Switzerland

- Surgical focus: Open and robotic-assisted, nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy and brachytherapy Prof. Dr. Alexander Haese is a certified trainer and helps other centres (including in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Sweden, Russia and Italy) to establish the da Vinci® prostatectomy method
